DIGMI Co-Founder Ray Digmi sits down with NewYork Mets
starting pitcher Dillon Gee for an exclusive interview

Ray Digmi: Like all professional baseball players, you must have had a favorite player growing up. Who was it, and have you had the opportunity to meet and/or play with or against him?
Dillon Gee: Definitely Nolan Ryan. I had the opportunity to talk with him when we played the Rangers in Arlington this year. He even signed a ball for me.

RD: You were born in 1986, the same year the New York Mets won their last World Series Championship. How much would it mean to you to help bring a World Series title back to Mets fans everywhere?
DG: Well, first of all, it would mean everything to me to just win a World Series title, but winning it in a Met uniform would be even more special because the fans there have always been great and they deserve it.

RD: DIGMI is one of our country's most exciting new clothing brands, inspired by the city life of the "Big Apple", New York. You have the opportunity to play in New York on a daily basis. How much do you enjoy your time in New York, and what are some of your favorite places in the city?
DG: I love playing in New York. As a player, you can't ask for a better place to play. I spend most of my time at the ballpark, but when I do get out, I like the meatpacking district and I spend a lot of time at SHI in long island city. My wife dragged me to a couple broadways shows.....And I even enjoyed them.

RD: You've always been a huge fan of our T-shirt line. What is your favorite DIGMI T-shirt? And what do you hope to see DIGMI make in the future? And why would Mets fans love DIGMI?
DG: My favorite is the yellow with "DIGMI LIVE DREAM BE" really big down the front. I would wear some gym shorts or board shorts if you made them. Mets fans eat, sleep, and breathe New York and thats exactly where DIGMI gets its inspiration so its a perfect match.

RD: You made your professional debut in the New York Mets Organization playing for the Brooklyn Cyclones. Brooklyn is one of the worlds most popular places. The likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Beastie Boys, and Jay-Z all have called Brooklyn home. How did the "BK" treat a kid from Texas fresh out of college?
DG: It was quite the culture shock. The pace of life is way different than I was accustomed to, but I quickly grew to love it and couldn't think of a better place to start my career.

RD: You made your Major League debut for the New York Mets in 2010, but it was 2011 that made Dillon Gee a household name with New York Mets fans. You went on to go 7-0 with a 2.86 ERA in your first nine games, giving Mets fans a glimpse of what the future may hold. What are you expectations for both yourself and the entire Mets team for the 2012 season?
DG: I expect to come into this season prepared and ready to build upon last years experiences. My main goal is to take the ball every fifth day and pitch my ass off to hlep my team win games. I expect the team to win, just like everyones expectations should be. I am really excited cause we have a great group of guys.

RD: During the winter of 2008 while playing winter ball in Puerto Rico, you were introduced to DIGMI Co-Founder Ray Digmi. He was taking his swings alongside some of pro baseballs best talent. Now he is taking his swings at some of the biggest brands in fashion. What was your first impression of DIGMI back then, and what draws you to their line to this day? Is it the name? Is it the logo? And where do you see DIGMI in 10 years? Can you see Ray DIGMI building this brand like Ralph Lauren did for Polo, and Marc Ecko did for Cut & Sew?
DG: I had the opportunity to play against and hang out with Ray 3 years ago and when he showed us the line, I immediately knew I wanted some. Im a t-shirt and jeans type guy and this way I can have a little flair too! Hopefully in ten years ill see DIGMI hats in stores like Lids and the clothes in every department store. I can definitely see Ray making this company huge because I know what kind of work ethic he has.

RD: DIGMI just announced its first ever College Campus Tour, visiting colleges and Universities in the northeast. We plan on expanding our tour westward next fall. Do you think we should bring DIGMI to your alma mater, the University of Texas @ Arlington? How would the Maverick community embrace the DIGMI brand.
DG: You should vistit UTA. UTA has a very diverse student body with many different styles and I could definitely see DIGMI gaining some market share there.

RD: If you could have dinner with 5 people, dead or alive, who would they be? And why?
DG: My Grandfather who died when I was young, George Bush, Nolan Ryan, Johnny Cash, and Jennifer Aniston because I love her!!

RD: Lets have some fun, with this one. Who will win a title first, Tony Romo and "America's Team" the Dallas Cowboys, or Dillon Gee and the New York Mets?
DG: Well as much as I want the Cowboys to win another championship I hope the New York Mets and myself win a championship first!
